How to Set Your Background Preferences


  • Go to "File"/ "Set-up" /"User Preferences"
  • Go to tab #2 at the top "Appearance"
  • At the bottom click on "Background Profile"

  • Highlight (click) the "default" profile
  • Click "Clone"
  • Rename the profile

  • You can then change the background and colors of all windows etc.
  • If you click on "Background" you will be able to choose any picture from your computer's hard drive to use as your background picture
  • The picture must be a .bmp file!
  • You must also have previously saved the image into Abacus/Pictures/Background on your shared drive.
  • If you click on "Colors" you can change the color of all windows
  • When you are finished setting your preferences be sure to click "Apply" and then "OK".
  • You will then be asked to save the changes - click "Yes."
