Between Purchasing and Receiving the Software

1) Fill in the Getting Started Questionnaire



2) Prepare Your Data

If you need us to convert your data from another application, please give us a call at 800-726-3339.

If you are planning on entering data on your own, please consider what data you will need to bring into Abacus. Consider the following:


  1. Calendaring Events
  2. Contacts
  3. Matters
  4. Matter Notes
  5. Documents
  6. Billing Information
  7. Accounting Information


Please remember, if you have data in Microsoft Outlook or an Abacus compatible PDA, we can assist you in loading calendared events and contacts into Abacus.



3) Confirm the Readiness of your Hardware Configuration

Please review our system requirements. If you are unsure about the readiness of your hardware please give us a call at 800-726-3339.



4) Review Installation Guide and Diagram

If you are installing Abacus review our Installation Guide and Installation Diagram.



5) Take the Online Training



You will receive a password for the training upon purchasing the software. If you do not have your password, please give us a call at 800-726-3339.

3) Rely on Abacus to Run your Practice

You should now plan on having transitioned all necessary practice management data in Abacus. Your office will be relying on Abacus throughout the day and discontinuing other programs or manual processes that were used before.

You should be using Abacus more competently and seeing the rewards of using our system.
