This error displays an odd icon properties box. When
you display the properties for the icon it shows up as
a MS DOS icon box. Somehow Windows thinks the
program is an MS DOS program. If you encounter this
error delete the index files (any file with the extension
".CDX", these are not your data files) from your Abacus
directory using either Explorer or with this DOS command:
DEL C:\ABACUS\*.CDX
(If the program is installed on a different drive or path, make
the appropriate changes.) The next time you run AbacusLaw,
it will recreate the indexes and you should be back to
business as usual.
