This error is a result of Exiting Abacus incorrectly. If
you have version 12 and newer the DBFFIX is in the
Abacus directory. You need to go to
Start/Programs/Ms Dos Prompt, change to the Abacus
drive by typing F: (if Abacus is on another drive, type
the appropriate letter). Change to the Abacus directory
by typing CD\ABACUS {Enter}. Type in the command
DBFFIX.
This will run the utility. It will then prompt you to press on
any key and it will repair the corruption. Type exit, and press
on the enter key. You can now reenter Abacus, at this point it
will reindex.
