When this error pops up first make sure in the Windows
Explorer under View, that the box is unchecked next to
"Hide file extensions for registered file types" (this
changes between versions of Windows but essentially
means the same thing). Then if that solution doesn't help
open the Control Panel and double click on the 32 bit
ODBC drivers. In the first tab delete the driver for the
Text Files, This should solve the problem.
