AbacusLaw Software System Requirements
v2010 Minimum System Requirements:
For a single to 5 user network server or workstation
- Windows XP Professional, Vista or Windows 7
- Intel P4 or greater Processor (Dual Core processor is preferred)
- 1GB RAM
- CD ROM
- 4 GB of Hard disk available (Install footprint is 350MB)
If using Vista; Home Premium, Business and Ultimate are the only supported versions. Vista installs should have a minimum of 2GB of RAM.
On networks with two or more users, AbacusLaw requires a server or PC not assigned to an individual user. Abacus specifies a dedicated server because we know your data is valuable to your practice. Any workstation running multiple programs (desktop or laptop) has a much higher chance of locking up and corrupting data. Other companies are willing to let you take that risk. We are not.
Networks 6-10 users
- Windows XP Professional, Vista Business, Ultimate, Windows 7 or 2008 server
- Intel P4 or greater processor
- 1 GB RAM for workstations, 2 GB for servers
- CD-ROM
- 4 GB of available hard disk space
Preferred server OS would be Windows 2003 Server and up.
Networks greater than 10 users
Use a server based OS. We support the following OS’s; Windows 2000 Server, Server 2003 and Server 2008.
For remote access over the Internet:
- Citrix or Terminal Services server
- Plus AbacusLaw Fortress
