v2008 System Requirements:
Operating system Microsoft Windows NT, 2000, XP Pro or Vista.
Windows 98 and Windows ME not supported.
Use of XP Home and Vista Home Basic is only recommended at home or for a non-networked computer.
Server:
On networks with two or more users, AbacusLaw Gold require a server or PC not assigned to an individual user. Abacus specifies a dedicated server because we know your financial data is valuable to your practice. Any workstation running multiple programs (desktop or laptop) has a much higher chance of locking up and corrupting data. Other companies are willing to let you take that risk. We are not. (See server requirements below)
Network
Client/server network such as Windows or Novell.
Server Requirements
Windows 2000 or higher server required. Your server specifications
should be determined by your IT system administrator based on the
number of users and network configuration.
For remote access over the Internet:
